Haunted Houses Events is looking for experienced ghost hunters and paranormal enthusiasts to join our team as Volunteer Event Hosts. We need dedicated individuals with a strong interest in paranormal investigations, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to delivering unforgettable ghost hunting experiences across the UK.

  • Greater Manchester
  • Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire
  • Derby/Notts/Leicester (East Midlands)
  • West Midlands
  • South Lancashire
  • West & South Yorkshire
  • Hampshire/Dorset (South Coast Area)
  • North & South Wales  (within 25 miles of the border)

Everything we NEED FROM YOU in return

We are looking for energetic, self-motivated individuals who love engaging with people and creating an exciting guest experience. To join us, you must:

  • 🔞 Be 18+ years old and confident, friendly, and chatty.

  • 👻 Have a strong interest in the paranormal and ghost hunting events.

  • 📆 Commit to at least two events per month (Friday and Saturday nights).

  • 🎃 Be available for our busiest seasons, especially around Halloween.

  • 🚗 Have your own reliable transport to and from event locations.

  • 🤝 Be a people person—comfortable leading, working in teams, and ensuring guests have an amazing experience.

  • 📋 Be organised and able to work within our event structure and standards.

  • ⛑️ First aid training is a bonus!

Who should NOT apply

We take pride in offering our guests an immersive and well-organised experience. To maintain our high standards, we must politely decline applications from those who:

❌ Cannot commit to two events per month.


❌ Lack personal transport to travel to event locations.


❌ Are primarily interested in personal ghost hunting rather than guest experience.


❌ Work for or own a third-party ghost hunting group or investigation team.


❌ Submit joint applications with a friend, partner, or relative (we only accept individual applicants) every individual is looked at for their merits.

We appreciate every application but can only consider those who meet our essential criteria. If you’re serious about delivering unforgettable ghost hunts and creating a thrilling experience for our guests, we welcome you to apply!
